The 2027 Corvette Stingray Joins the 200-MPH Club
The Corvette Stingray has officially reached a new milestone. For 2027, Chevrolet says the base Stingray is now capable of 200 mph on the track, giving America’s Sports Car a number that was once reserved for exotic supercars and top-tier performance models.
Power now comes from a new 6.7L LS6 V8 producing 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque, helping the Stingray accelerate from 0–60 mph in as little as 2.8 seconds. Even more impressive, Chevrolet lists the starting price at $73,495, making the Stingray one of the most accessible new 200-mph performance cars available.
For Corvette fans, this is more than just a top-speed number. It shows how far the Corvette has come while still staying true to its mission: delivering world-class performance at a price that continues to challenge the exotics.
